Enamel wires are critical materials for miniature current transformers. The basic parameters of the most popular used enamel wires are introduced as below. The diameter of bare core range from 0.10mm to 0.31mm. For a typical mini current transformer of 10(100)A/10mA with turns ratio 1:1000, the enamel wire of Φ0.18mm is suitable. For some CT with rate current > 200A, the enamel wire as thick as Φ0.31mm is required.
